Julie Chartier Obituary

Julie A. (Brown) Chartier, passed Thursday, Feb. 6, surrounded by loved ones in the house she made a home for her loving family, her husband Mark, daughter Taylor, and twin sons Jordan and Myles. The daughter of Jean D. (Robinson) Brown and the late William A. Brown Jr., Julie was born in Brockton in 1962 and colorfully lived the next fifty one years in the city she loved. A 1980 graduate of Brockton High School, she went on to earn a degree in early childhood education from Bridgewater State. Once she became a mom she continued teaching, passionately running a daycare with creative crafts and cooking lessons. When not entertaining and taking care of others, she spent her time interior decorating and pursuing photography. In addition to her husband, children and mother, she will be greatly missed by her two sisters, Donna and Kathy; three brothers, Bill, Sean and Tom; four nieces, eight nephews, her closest family friend, David Fusco, and many others whose lives she touched. The celebration of her life is scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 13, at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123), Brockton, with visiting hours from 4-8 p.m. The funeral procession will gather Friday at 8 a.m. for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton, at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julies name may be made to Cradles to Crayons, 155 North Beacon Street, Brighton, MA 02135, while clothing and toys will also be collected at the wake and funeral to help provide needy local children with essentials for childhood.
