Luis A. Cardoza

Plympton Luis A. Uncle Louie Cardoza, 75, of Plympton and Nantucket, died May 23 in Tobey Hospital after a period of failing health. He was a son of the late Louisa A. Gaspar of New Bedford and the late John Cardoza of West Falmouth. He was a truck driver for several construction companies, U.S. Postal Service and Yates Gas Company. He was an avid hunter and horseman. He is survived by four brothers, Manuel A. Cardoza of Plympton, Joseph R. Ramos of Boston and East Wareham and Augusto C. Ramos and Marcelino Gaspar, both of Nantucket; a sister, Annie Barboza of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. An open house will be held June 1, 2008, from 3-7 p.m. at 300 Glen Charlie Road, East Wareham, for family and friends wishing to extend their condolences. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008, in St. Marys Cemetery, Nantucket, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
