Malcolm I. Holbrook West Bridgewater Malcolm Irwin Holbrook, 78, of West Bridgewater, died peacefully Nov. 28 in the Kindred Northeast Specialty Hospital in Stoughton, after a brief illness with cancer. Malcolm worked in concrete construction until age 75. His passions were antiquing and yard sales. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed cooking, walking, visiting and story telling with family and friends. Malcolm was full of life and loved to give. Many will sadly miss him. He is survived by his children, Bruce Holbrook and his wife Robin of Delray Beach, Fla., Darren Holbrook and his wife Lori of Jonesboro, Ga., Denise Holbrook of Barnstable, Linda Fernandes Santos and her husband Dimas of Hudson and Stanley Holbrook of Collegeville, Pa. Also by his adored grandchildren, Ana Fernandes, Nicolas Santos, Brian Holbrook, Daena Holbrook, Jared Grant, Sage Grant and Benjamin Dries. Malcolm also leaves his brothers, Alwyn, Leslie and Keith Holbrook; as well as his cherished companion, Eileen Lojko, her daughters and their families, Joshua and Suzanne Grant of Medway, Brett and Kristin Dries of Bridgewater. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick, and his parents, Stanley and Gertrude Holbrook. His services will be held Sunday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle), Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in memory of Malcolm, to a charity of your choice.
