Marjorie Doherty-Reid Obituary

Bridgewater Marjorie (MacLean) Doherty-Reid, of Bridgewater died April 15, 2008, at the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville. She was 85. Born in Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late Hector and Winnie MacLean, she was raised in Randolph and was a graduate of Stetson High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Women's Club, the Grace Bible Church and enjoyed traveling, camping and her family. She was the wife of the late Lloyd Reid; mother of Laurence and his wife Katherine, William and his dear friend Jacqueline, Marjorie Medas and her husband David and Winifred Doherty, all of Bridgewater, Lynn Sniger and her husband James of West Bridgewater, Paul and his dear friend Michelle of East Bridgewater and Katherine Lyons and her husband Patrick of Rockland; sister of Winifred Wood and her husband Robert of Bridgewater and the late Warren MacLean. Also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Stella MacLean of Maine. A funeral service will be held Saturday in the Grace Bible Church, Central Street, East Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Friday in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, from 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Grace Bible Church, Central Street, East Bridgewater, MA 02333.
