Philip P. Berio

Philip P. Berio, age 75, of Middleboro, formerly of Weymouth, died on Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Nemasket Healthcare Center, Middleboro. He was the husband of Ann M. (Shores) Berio; they had been married for nearly 52 years. Born in Quincy, son of the late Christopher and Phyllis (Mincone) Berio, Philip enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, fishing, and outdoor fun. He was an avid baseball and football fan. He was a graduate of Weymouth High School and worked as a Forms Carpenter for many years. He will be warmheartedly remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew and loved him. He worked for Schofields Forms of Weymouth and S.T. White Forms in Abington. Survivors include his wife, Ann of Middleboro; two sons, Philip and his wife Dawn Berio of Middleboro, and Christopher and his wife Melissa Berio of Middleboro; a daughter, Stacy and her husband Eric Thorson of Bridgewater; three brothers, Michael Berio of Hanson, Richard Berio of Randolph, and Robert Berio of Washington; a sister, Christina Mason of Weymouth; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Nicholas Berio. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, February 9, from 5- 8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Cemetery at the Green, Middleboro.
