Richard Moore Obituary
Dick was born in Quincy, son of the late Annie M. (Keenan) and Frank K. Moore Jr.
Mr. Moore was raised in Plympton and graduated from Plymouth High School and Northeastern University.
A Korean War veteran, Dick proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force. Upon returning from the service, Dick married his lovely bride of 53 years, Audrey A. Walker.
Dick then embarked on a 30+ year career as a design engineer for Raytheon and Telco Systems.
Upon his retirement Dick could be found enjoying one of his many hobbies. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and an especially shrewd card player. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to places such as Florida, New Hampshire, and Arizona.
A gentle soul, Dick was a friend to all. Always quick with a smile and a joke, he left everyone he met with a smile.
In addition to his, Dick leaves a son Robert M. Moore of Bridgewater, a daughter Barbara J. Slamin and her husband James H. Slamin Jr. of Natick. He was grandfather to Christopher J. and Nicholas R. Merrion of Natick; and a step-grandfather to Olivia F., James H. III, and Charlotte G. Slamin of Franklin.
Visiting hours in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, Thursday, October 8, beginning at 4 p.m. and ending with a funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial Friday, October 9, at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Plympton.
