Russell H. Sweezey

Russell H. "Jimmy" Sweezey, 81 passed away on May 5, 2017. Son of the late John "Buster" and Myrtle (Bates) Sweezey. Jimmy was raised in Braintree, and graduated from Braintree High School. Jimmy was a proud member of Laborer's Union, Local 138, he worked as a fence erector and was a long-time member of the Polish Club in Abington. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean M. (Keniston) Sweezey. Loving father of James, Laura, and John (Gail) all of Pembroke, Brenda Smith (Jack) of Venice, Fla. and Donna Coscia of Halifax. Cherished grandfather of Julie and Jessica Smith, Roxanne and Russell Dixon , Jimmy, Danny and Nicole Coscia, and the late Jason Coscia, great grandfather of Brianna, Jason, Jalyn, Jordan, Lucianna, and Samuel. Dear brother of Marlene Simmons of Middleboro, Ronny Sweezey of Weymouth, and Kenny Sweezey of East Bridgewater, and the late David Sweezey and Joyce Mahoney. Jimmy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 10, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. (Rte. 53) Hanover.
