Dear Bette, Doug and Mimi, I am so very sad to hear the news of Wayne's passing. My sister Donna and I just happened to be reminiscing about you all and I googled you to see if you were still living on the Cape and came up with this sad news. I have such fond memories of when we all lived on Holland Street in Saugus. I'm sitting here thinking of the many many mornings of "Mr. Evans" driving us to school, my Mom driving her station wagon to pick up kids for your in home kindergarten, your apply pie (the best I ever had), my Mom's wonderful friendship with Bette and so so many other happy times. Don't know where these years went. When I drive through Saugus on occasion I think of happy, happy and simpler times. Wayne was such a wonderful man, with such an accomplished life. I can't imagine the loss you are all feeling. Keeping you all in my prayers. With love, Linda
