Adelaide Ward Obituary

Hingham Adelaide C. (Clark) Ward, of Fort Myers, FL and Hingham, March 7, 2008. The beloved wife of 57 years to George Ward. Devoted mother of Christine W. Rowe and her husband Jack of Duxbury and Andrea W. Mercier and her husband Ken of Marlborough. Cherished grandmother of Patrick T. Rowe. Adelaide is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Adelaide loved golfing and playing bridge. She was a former member of the Hingham Women's Club. A member at Pembroke Country Club, South Shore Country Club and Lexington Country Club in Ft. Myers, Florida. Adelaide loved to travel and was fond of cruising. She and her husband would visit Bermuda yearly. She will be remembered as a kind, loving, caring and gentle woman who adored her family. Mrs. Ward will be sadly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Mrs. Ward may be made to Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02172.
