Catherine Carr Obituary

Catherine A. Kay (Meehan) Carr, passed away at her home at Putnam Farms in Danvers on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 following declining health. Kay was born in Boston on April 3, 1928 on her brother Johns birthday. Kay was the daughter of the late Mary (Kilroy) and John Meehan she was raised in an Irish Catholic home. Kay was predeceased by John Meehan and his wife June, her sister Mary, her brother James Meehan and his wife Mary, her brother Thomas Meehan and his wife Dorothy. She is survived by her brother-in-law Joseph Washek and many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Kay worked for the New England Telephone Company for over 30 years. She was married to the late John Jack Carr for over 40 years, they lived in Squantum for many years. Kays Catholic faith was very important to her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from 9 - 10:30 in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anns Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy at 11 a.m. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kay may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472. See www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.
