How warm my heart is when I think of how loved you were and continue to be. You were my first best friend and I miss you so much. We once joked about being in our 50's and sitting around drinking coffee and talking about our crazy life; now here we are in our 60's and I want so much to have that talk. I love you Chuckie and miss you more than I ever thought was possible. Off I go to listen to that fabulous laugh of yours on the miles of audio tape I have.

It's hard to believe that in just 2 months it will be 11 years since we
lost you. Can it be? I took David by your cute little apartment in Boston last year on the 10th anniversary of your death. We sat on the steps and enjoyed some fun conversations with your neighbors.
Are you aware of how loved you were?
I love you Chuckie and I miss you each and every day.

It's been almost 6 months since we lost you and well it doesn't get any easier. There's so much I want to tell you. I'm so fortunate to have so many tape recordings of you, that whenever I miss hearing your laugh I can play them.
The play that the family and mostly you inspired, is finally going to get it's stage debut. I know you'll be watching with Mom, Dad, Terry, Cathy, Barb and Grandma Jean. There's talk of a screen version. Wouldn't that be something?

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

hey chuck,
I was thinking of the old days, when we go out clubbing, four friends, cappiellos, the gathering, etc. and your sister barb lost the keys to the car. remember darryl popped the ignition . and how long they had that car and had to start it with a screw driver, then barby found the keys the next day on the dash. wasted days and nights.

barby and patty,
My god have you guys been through a lot of tragedy! Enough to last a life time. Remember the great times at my parents summer place down the cape, and how we would always lose chuck, only to find him with some girls. He would act like he didn't know us and we would start singing 'Chuck E's in love' . Remember how mad he would get? Then he'd start laughing.
