George Dubois Obituary

Weymouth George D. Mick DuBois, Sr.,of Weymouth and Herring Pond, Plymouth died on Saturday morning at Radius Healthcare in Plymouth. He was 91 years of age. Born in Kearny, NJ he had lived most of his life between Weymouth and Herring Pond. He served with the USArmy during WWII and saw action in Normandy and Northern France. Mr. DuBois founded Twin City Upholstery in Braintree in 1947 and operated it until 1987, with his brother Charles, when he retired. The business now continues under the ownership of his sons. He enjoyed fishing and working on the family compound that he built at Herring Pond. Beloved husband of the late Margaret C. (Dwyer) DuBois. Devoted father of George D. DuBois, Jr. married to Sharon and James DuBois married to Kathy all of Weymouth, Michelle DuBois fiancee of James Fontoni of Plymouth and Halifax, Anne Stenquist of Weymouth, Pamela Haggerty married to Edward of Rochester, MA, the late Barbara Nummy of Baton Rouge, LA and the late William Napier of Duxbury. Loving brother of Charles Duke DuBois of Hanover, Rosalie Sullivan of Hingham and the late Jules Bud DuBois of Hyannis. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren , nieces and nephews. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing, at 9:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday evening 4:00-8:00 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II fighting the Germans and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
