Geraldine McCain Obituary

Geraldine Gerri Soucy McCain, 67, went home to be with her Lord on November 8, 2015, after a four-year battle with lymphoma. She was born in Boston and relocated to Florida in 1978 from the Braintree and Hanson areas of Massachusetts. She attended nursing school in Boston. She retired from Treasure Coast Pediatrics and previously worked for Indian River Walk-In Clinic. Gerri was a member of First United Methodist Church. She had been a volunteer with the Sebastian Volunteer Ambulance Squad. Her survivors include her husband, Doug; daughters, Rebecca Borchardt (Wayne), Deborah Potter, Priscilla Hales; stepsons, Matthew (Maggie), Michael (Melissa), and Marc (Jeanette); sister, Dorothy Frano (Frank); brother, Phillip Soucy; and 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marie; and brother, Joseph. There will be a gathering 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerris honor to the American Lymphoma And Leukemia Society.
