Glen Robbins Obituary

Glen S. Robbins of Halifax, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He was born in Boston, raised in Scituate, where he never missed a day of school. Glen went on to attend Bridgewater State College, where he earned a Bachelors degree in history. After a few years of teaching, Glen was employed at Robbins Garage in Cohasset for fifty years. His interests were history, politics, antique cars and traveling | particularly to the Old Dominion. He leaves behind a score of friends from A to Z (Allen to Zack), including friends and customers from the shop, and also a few adversaries. Glen was the son of the late Vera C. Green and the very, very late Walter Robbins, and step-son of the late Hollis Green. He is survived by a brother, Wayne Robbins Sr., his late wife, Jane Robbins, and current wife, Cynde; a nephew, Wayne Robbins Jr., his wife, Pam, and great-niece, Nicole Robbins; a niece, June Lippard, her husband, Rick, and their children, Ricky Lippard, Meri Lesogor, and husband, Ryan. Finally, he is survived by his partner, David Walker. The hopes and dreams of his youth, vanished tone and tint, and yet, he felt he had a real good run. To those who supported and loved Glen | you have his undying thanks. A celebration of life gathering will be held in Glens honor at a later date.

While I think of you often, and check on you occasionally, I was very sad to read this. We both knew it was too painful to stay in touch, we helped each other through a tragic time. I will never forget you. JBowman

Paul Miner, of Scituate loved Glen and was very grateful for his teaching, jokes, loyalty and last, but not least, dry and clever sense of humor. I had a the privilege of meeting him and visiting a few times, including one visit with Paul's daughter Laura. Whom, had she been a boy would be named Glen today. I was in total agreement with that decision. She and I really liked his very original cookies and shared his love of Oldsmobiles.

Glen was a wonderful man. Happy, chatty, and just an all around kind soul. Our condolences to his partner David, the Robbins family and all who mourn Glen's passing.

So many memories of Glen at the Station, filling up the cars from the Music Circus. Always with a very funny story and smart remark! You were one of a kind.

Rest in peace, old friend...
