Janet Turnquist Obituary

Weymouth Janet W. (Reardon) Turnquist of Weymouth, died on Tuesday, January 15 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a brief illness, age 70. Born and raised in Milton, she resided in Weymouth for many years. Mrs. Turnquist was a graduate of Milton High School and a graduate of Cardinal Cushing College in Milton. A parishioner of the Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth, she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. Mrs. Turnquist was a medical secretary at the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston prior to marrying her husband George and raising her family. Janet had a lifelong devotion to her church and caring for her extended family She is survived by her former husband George E. Turnquist of San Pedro, CA. Devoted mother of David G. of Ashburn, VA, Denise M. Calhoun of Londonderry, NH, Dennis J. of Virginia Beach, VA and George E., Jr. of Weymouth. Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Beloved sister of the late John Reardon. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, on Saturday, January 19 at 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
