Kelly Hillary-OBrien Obituary

Kelly Hillary-OBrien of Marshfield died Jan. 9, 2014, at the age of 42, after a very long battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a rare but aggressive form of breast cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband, Daniel OBrien; and her beautiful cousin, Colleen Leddie. Kelly loved the outdoors and all forms of fitness. Despite her diagnosis in 2008 she continued to run, teach spin classes and run boot camps until treatments finally took their toll on her health. There will be no funeral services per Kellys wishes however she would ask those who knew her to educate themselves and others about Triple Negative Breast Cancer and BRCA gene mutations and to honor her memory with a donation to Triple Negative Breast Cancer research by following this link tnbcfoundation.thankyou4caring.org/pages/donation-page---tribute-gifts, or by mail to TNBC Foundation, P.O. Box 204, Norwood, NJ 07648.

Kelly had such an impact on my adult life. I think of her often. Our trip to Turks many many moons ago! I miss you my friend!

I am so sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. I went to High School with her and we worked at Farfars together. She was so funny and always made me laugh. We would go on very long walks in 1992 while trying to lose weight and get through the cold winter. My thoughts and prayers are with you and her family. Her beautiful smile will be missed.
