Lee and family,

Lorraine and I were saddened to learn of Mike’s passing. We will always remember Mike as a very down to earth, fair-minded and unpretentious individual……and …..always a pleasure to be around. He was a genuine, well-grounded class act with a matching personality. We loved his very positive outlook on life, whatever the circumstances, and wherever he happened to be. We believe, Mike set a standard of life that others could do well to emulate.

Lee, our prayers will be with you and your family ( and have been ) as you all face a new chapter in life.
May God Bless you , your family and Mike in the days and years to come.

April 23, 2010

Lee & Family,

Some of my fondest Valpak memories are the times my wife, Helene, and I shared with Mike and Lee at various Valpak meetings, conventions, etc. One that I will never forget was the famous "tank incident" at the Northeast Regional Meeting in Boston. I am sure Lee remembers (I believe she purchased it). In a very tense negotiation with Valpak Corp. Mike helped to break the ice (and get the dealers' point across) when suddenly a mechanical remote controlled tank rolls out from under a skirted table and starts "shooting" at the relatively new president of Valpak DMS. Just an example of how Mike wasn't afraid to step up and do what was necessary to get his point across - all the while with a smile and an uncanny sense of fairness. Back then I was the young, new guy in Valpak. Mike was someone who was always willing to help. I am smiling now as I think of him... and Lee.

All our love,

Debbie Romano
