Mark Eacobacci Obituary

Fort Lauderdale, FL Mark Eacobacci, age 45, died unexpectedly at home in Fort Lauderdale Florida on April 15. Raised in Wareham MA, Mark lived in the Boston area and worked in the hospitality industry as a young adult. Through various travel opportunities, Mark learned to love the climate of Southern Florida and the Carribbean, eventually developing a successful clothing and furniture importing business with multiple retail locations, currently headquartered in Miami. During his short life, Mark had traveled extensively throughout the world, including China, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and throughout Europe. He enjoyed making friends and participating in other customs and cultures, while cherishing his home and life in Southern Florida. An imposing figure with his red hair and tall stature, he not only stood out physically, but in personality. Quick with a sassy retort, Mark enjoyed political discussions and was a great debater of many topics. He was also a trusted confidant, and not afraid to tell it like it is, always remaining loyal to his family, and friends, who he also regarded as family. Mark is predeceased by his father, Louis, and survived by his mother, Martha, sisters Jean Akins of Wareham, and Diane Eacobacci of Edgecomb Maine, brothers Jim Eacobacci of Wareham, and Edward Eacobacci of Buzzards Bay and nephews Michael Akins of Portland Oregon, Stephen Akins of Marlboro MA, and Thomas Akins of Pocasset MA Also survived by longtime business partner and personal friend Marcus OBrikis of Miami Florida and a remarkable number of devoted friends. Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association or a charity of ones choice are appreciated.

I was hoping to hear his joyful voice and talk about the past and what he was doing. My sincere condolences to his entire family, friends, and former business partner. Our deepest sympathies to Gram E, Aunt Jean & Diane, Grampa Jimmy & Uncle Eddie, Mark was a Great Uncle & Babysitter ... when his schedule permitted. I will make sure TJ & Abby know the stories of the "Dining Room Table Discussions" that I was probably not supposed to have heard! Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help!
