Jane D. (Dankmyer) Eacobacci, of Dennis Port, died with her family by her side on July 6, 2024 at the age of 79.
Jane worked as a social worker for Catholic Charities and Wide Horizons for many years. Faith and family were central to Jane’s life. She cherished every minute with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. Jane had an artistic side. She enjoyed photography and music.
She was the wife of the late Michael J. Eacobacci, Jr. Daughter of the late Dr. Edward C. Dankmyer and Helen (O'Connor) Dankmyer. Loving mother of David L. Barber of Quincy; Jenny D. Barber of Braintree; and stepsons: Michael Eacobacci and his wife Kathryn; John Eacobacci and his wife Danielle; and Brian Eacobacci. Proud "Grammy" of Jessica and Thomas; and proud "Amma Jane" to Carolyn, Stephen, Jackson, Leland, Eva, Josephine, Francesca, and Mattea. Mother in law of Pamela Psota. Sister of the late Edward C. Dankmyer, Jr, the late Dr. Frederick L. Dankmyer, and the late Nancy Casey. Sister in law of Judith Corbett and her husband Deacon Francis Corbett; and Jeanne Fahey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 7/18/25 from 10-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 11 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad Street, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial at a later date.
Donations in memory of Jane may be made to Immaculate Conception Church (to help those with food insecurity), 1203 Commercial Street, Weymouth, MA 02189.
