Dear Aunt Marty,
I will remember you to be strong
I will remember you to be brave
I will remember you to be gracious and kind
I will remember you to be selfless and giving
I will remember you to be full of life and full of love
I will keep you safe in my heart, and keep your beautiful spirit alive, in my fondest of memories! You were a precious gift from God and absolutely one of my most favorite people! I am forever blessed to have had you in my life! I love you...Christine

Marty was always there with a smile, a hug, and words of encouragement. I have known Marty since I was a kid when my mother starting bringing us to the Spanish Center in the South End. My mother even had Marty talk to me about my messy room because my mother wasn't having any luck trying to get me to clean it! (Mom brought in the big guns, lol)
I visited Marty at the Mattahunt where she was a school nurse. She was so much more than a nurse to those kids. She was a miracle worker and probably responsible for saving lives of kids with asthma.
I always looked to Marty as an example of how we should be in this world for the little time we have in it. Warm, loving, non judgmental, giving, serving others, and having a sense of humor and a good time living life. Very big shoes to fill along with her cohort Sister Eustace.
Just listening to Marty had a way of calming you and feeling good about yourself and the world.
Marty will live on in the lives of all she touched with her angelic and peaceful spirit.
