Mike, I was stunned to learn about Mary a few minutes ago. She was a wonderful friend to me and I was so proud to see her successfully deal with challenges she encountered. She was a beautiful person in every way. Sadly, I can truly understand what you are going through. My husband died suddenly three days after our anniversary when Grant was only five years old. My heart and my prayers go out to you, your children and all your family. I am so very, very sorry.

Mike & family, I can't even imagine the pain and shock of losing such a beautiful wife and mother at such a young age. Surely she is at peace and with God. My prayers for strength and understanding are with you all. Your family's love & unity shall get you through. Sharing your sorrow...

So, so sorry for the many people whose lives Mary touched.

"Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the infinite peace to you."

To the Mayo and Twohig families:
On behalf of our St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference here at St. Joseph's, I wish to extend our deepest condolences on the loss of our fellow Vincentian and friend Mary. She was a wonderful Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter and friend to all. Under Mary's leadership as director our our SVDP Christmas gift giving program, hundreds of families and children in the Kingston/Plympton area enjoyed many memorable Christmas mornings. Mary was remarkable, kind, generous, loving and unforgettable. We will all miss her greatly.
