Matthew S. Connors

Matthew Scott Connors of Pembroke passed away at home on March 8, 2017. Growing up, Matthew was a talented hockey player and enjoyed playing for Pembroke Youth Hockey and Silver Lake High. His love for hockey continued into adulthood and he was a passionate Bruins fan. Matthew will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Bill and Iline Connors of Pembroke, his brother Shawn Connors and his wife Joanne of East Bridgewater; and his sister Melissa Coburn and her husband John of Pembroke. Matthews greatest joy in life was being "Uncle Matt" to his nieces and nephew, Allison, Olivia, Owen, Courtney and Jocelyn who absolutely adored him. Matthew is also survived by his grandmother Barbara Smith of Quincy and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Matthew also had some close friends and loved ones in Maine. Matthew had a heart of gold and left a lasting impression on anyones life that he touched. He surrounded himself with a strong network of friends and once you knew his gentle soul, you loved him. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke, on Thursday, March 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. A prayer service for Matthew will be held on Friday, March 17, at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Matt's name to the Boston Bruins Foundation, 100 Ledgends Way, Boston MA, 02114.
