Michael Woodbury, 37, of Pembroke, lost his battle with addiction on June 11, 2016. Beloved son of Kathy and Mike Woodbury. Cherished grandson of Joseph and the late June Sampson, and Priscilla Hyland. Loving brother to Nicole Loud and her husband Joe, and the late Jonathan Woodbury. Uncle to Ashlin and Devin Loud, and Taylor Woodbury. Michael is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 17, from 10 -1 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rte. 14) Pembroke. I came across this obituary after reading an article about the overdose problem with our young people, and I was horrified to see that you lost 2 dear family members on the same day. I just want you to know that my heart bleeds for your entire family, and I am sending healing thoughts your way. As someone who has buried 3 siblings in the last 5 years, I know what kind of a toll and hole this creates in a family and in your hearts. From my family to yours, I wish you peace and love. I'm truly very sorry for your loss.

My heart is so heavy for you. Such trauma to all of you. I lost my two sons 24 months apart and my husband 8 weeks prior to my youngest sons death. My Patrick passed 10 months ago with almost a year in recovery. 100% fentanyl killed him. Waiting for the autopsy will also be heart wrenching . This journey is a hard hard road. Dear Woodbury Family,
I just read about your lost in the Patriot Ledger and my heart is broken for you all. My older brother who is also 4 years older than I lost his life to an overdose in 1994. After many relapses, we both went into treatment for heroin the same day back on 9/7/1988. Getting and staying clean was the hardest thing I have ever done. My bother Jim though kept trying and relapsing until his death. However, as sad as that was, I knew he found peace. I will keep Michael and Jonathan (I also have brothers with the same names that are fighting addiction today) in my thoughts and prayers.
