Worked with Paul over the phone for many years (marine industry). When I finally got to meet him around 2003...Wow big guy! He was straight forward and certainly didn't overwork a conversation. I'm glad I got to know him !

I had owned a boat for years at Thomas marine and barely spoke a word to Paul for fear of that scowl so many others have mentioned. One day passing him he said "Hi Greg",I almost passed out in shock that he even knew my name. For many a year after that I enjoyed lots of conversations and laughs with Paul and the gang at the marina. He will be sorely missed by the Polin brothers. He helped in so many ways, but especially rekindling a passion for boating I thought I had forgotten. Rest in Peace my friend, and may we find each other on the other side and have a drink and a laugh together of our time here on earth.

I will always remember Paul, perched in his chair, ready with an answer to every question- whether work related or not.
He had some of the most entertaining stories no matter how many times I had heard them. He had a playful nickname for everyone he knew, a sense of humor anyone could relate to, and could "finesse" his way through any situation.
The world will miss you Paul. Thank you for the memories.

To all of the Rickett family, Paul was a fantastic marine specialist. Over the years, he solved many of my nagging mechanical questions on the boats that I sold. His personal favorite quote to me and I am sure to many others was "It is ok to be stupid, just don't abuse the privilege" and "Go get coffee at Dunkies and I may answer you then." Can't believe he is gone. I am sure old Eddy Thomas who also loved him very much is giving him an ear full now... Sea Ray and Mercruiser lost a good man.

To Brian, and the whole Ricketts familiy; Every time i'd show up at Russo's(without notice) to pick up a boat for transport...Paul would scowl, mutter a few words...and magically the boat would appear. I would look over at Paul and he'd be smiling...Im going to miss that smile...Rest in peace my friend...Mike Scalisi

It was with great saddness that I learned of Paul's passing. I had just spoken to him a few days before. He was a charming, graceful, gentle and caring man. I silently applauded the dignity with which he handled his illiness. I keep hoping I will learn the words to help ease the grief and pain that fills the the space that death creates. I haven't. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so grateful for the many times I spent with your Dad, husband and my Pal.
(I love you Pal)
