Richard L. Westover

Richard L. Westover, age 88, entered into eternal life on April 3, 2021. Richie was a lifelong Braintree resident. Mr. Westover was a Korea era Air Force veteran. He was a foreman at Armstrong Cork in Braintree. After he retired, he drove a bus for the Braintree School Department for many years. He enjoyed bowling, playing softball, watching sports, attending outdoor concerts and Saturdays at the dog track. Richie belonged to the Weymouth Eagles. He was most happy being with his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Shirley A. (Allen) Westover. Devoted father of Richard L. Jr. and his wife Joan of Stoughton, Ronald and his wife Tara of Walpole, Debra of Braintree, and Lisa Carney and her husband James of Quincy. Beloved brother of the late Rena Terrill, Alice Norton, Grace Glassett, Lillian Andrews, Stanley and Edwin Westover. Loving grandfather of Lauren, Ryan, Ashley, and Derek. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. As a precaution to Covid transmission, his funeral Mass will be private on Friday, April 9, in the Sacred Heart Church Weymouth at 10:30 am.
