Ruth Sampson Obituary

Ruth F. Sampson HOLBROOK Ruth F. (Coughlin) Sampson of Holbrook, unexpectedly, November 27, 2007 at age 57. Wife of the late Patrick Ronald Sampson. Beloved mother of Patrick Sampson and his girlfriend Emily Schuster of Holbrook, Christina Sampson-Beers and her boyfriend Paul Superior of Avon and the late Shawn Sampson. Daughter of Arthur Coughlin and the late Geraldine (Shirley) Coughlin. Step-daughter of Margaret Thebado. Sister of Neil and Stephen Coughlin of ME, John Coughlin of Quincy, The Rev. Paul Coughlin of Peabody and the late Arthur, Jr., Kevin and Denis Coughlin. Step-sister of Michael Thebado of PA, Patrick Thebado of Mansfield and James Thebado of Weymouth. Loving Nana to Brian and Kayla. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, her best friend Mary "Trouble" Connors, her dog Harley and her extended family in Nova Scotia. Ruth was born in Boston. She grew up and attended school in Roxbury graduating from Jeremiah Burke High School. She moved to Holbrook in 1979. She had been an operator for AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1995. She had worked at Century Mailing in Randolph, George Dean in Braintree and Premier Color in Rockland doing quality control in their mail rooms. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and loved traveling to Canada with family and grandchildren. Telephone Workers Pioneer Member of IBEW #2222. She will be missed by all. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 South Franklin St. (Rte 37), Holbrook, Monday at 10:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph's Church at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Donations in Ruth's memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 or American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01761

I am so sorry for your loss. Ruthie was very nice to me I am very greatful that my Mom and Dad decided on her for my Godmother. Paul did a great job at the her service. She will be greatly missed
