Sears Walker Obituary

Sears 'Pete' Walker, Jr., 84 of Hanover, formerly of Winchester, Sharon, and Hingham, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, after a valiant battle with Kidney Disease. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Bussey) Walker; he was the light of her life for 48 years. Born in Boston on October 14, 1936, Pete was the son of Sears and Elinor (Vaughn) Walker. He was the brother of the late Judith Skinner and her late husband William Joe Skinner. He graduated from Bates College, Class of 1959. Pete retired from Bank of Boston and enjoyed working with his co-workers that he had kept in touch with. Pete was a long time volunteer at South Shore Hospital. Once Pete got the travel bug, he and his wife were off to many places. One of his favorite places to visit was South Africa. Pete also enjoyed all his hometown sports teams. He also loved animals and all his pets. Pete loved reading about the history of the Civil War. Karen would like to thank North River Homecare for taking such excellent care of Pete. Pete is survived by his niece Cynthia Skinner and nephews William Joe Skinner, Jr. and his wife Katherine Skinner, Stephen R. Skinner and his wife Jennifer P. Skinner, niece Kimberly Campo and her husband James Campo, and grand nieces and nephews Jennifer, Joe, Kyla, Drew, Teddy, Nate and Jeremy. Funeral arrangements will be private. If desired, donations in Pete's name may be made to New England Wildlife Center, 500 Columbian Street, South Weymouth, MA 02190 or to a charity of your choice. I worked for Pete in the first half of the 80´s. He was a great person and boss. I have thought of him on and off over the years. It last night 9/7/2021 o woke up and nit sure why but thought about Pete. Looked him up and was so sorry to see he has passed on to the other side.

He was great man and I have and will miss him.
