It's kind of funny that I got this email from Legacy today, because Shirley has been on my mind. Every now and then she Pops into my head while I'm at work and I wonder what she is up to in Heaven....Is she passing around and picking squares or collecting money to buy lottery tickets because the kitty was high.....Shirley was a very sweet soul and is still very missed. Rest in Peace Shirley your an Angel....

I am deeply sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. My best memories of Shirley will always be her ability to be compassionate, thoughtful and kind to everyone who met her and even while battling her disease, she was able to find humor in just about anything you would talk to her about. She was always interested in others and how they were doing on a personal and professional level, demonstrating a true concern for the needs of her patients and her colleagues. Shirley shared many of her personal hurdles with me and helped me to deal with mine, for that she will always special to me. May she rest in peace.

Shirley was a great mentor to me. I will always cherish the memories....Taking me on vacations and teaching me to drive! She is loved and will be greatly missed. I am so saddened for the entire Lowe family. She was a wonderful, strong person...

Shirley was a true "friend" to our family. She was our own personnel nurse and chauffeur while growing up in Dorchester & Weymouth. She will be missed but remembered by all her knew her. May your memories of her bring you comfort.

Shirley was an excellent nurse, caring friend and loving mother figure to me. Each of my children are tucked in at night with afghans made by her tender hands. She will be deeply missed-- my prayers are with you all.
