Thomas McDonough Obituary

Thomas F. McDonough, age 79, of Scituate and Naples, FL passed away unexpectedly at home on August 24, 2021. He was the loving husband of 58 years to Elaine E. (Murphy) McDonough. Cherished father to sons Michael, his wife Suzanne of Scituate, and James of Marshfield; daughters Kerin and Stacy of South Weymouth. Beloved Papa to Matthew McDonough of California, Peter and Caite McDonough of Pembroke and great-grand Papa to the late Nevaeh McDonough. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Hanora Donovan of Weymouth, Helen Doran of Dorchester, Dorothy and Edward Kay of Scituate, Jayne and Bill Crucius of Windham, NH, James McDonough of Quincy and Ft. Lauderdale as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Tom was an electrician with Local 103 for 61 years. He enjoyed wood working and golfing, but above all he loved his family and his wife Lainie. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 4-7 pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 11 am from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation and/or Wounded Warrior Project. Words of comfort can be left at www.richardsongaffeyfuneralhome.com.
