Victor Moquin Obituary

Victor David Moquin, of Quincy, passed away on December 28, 2020. Victor was a loyal and trustworthy man who was greatly loved. A proud Coast Guard veteran, Vic took pleasure in the simple things, including conversations with his father and stepmother, David and Maria Moquin; spending holidays on the mountain with his Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Anton, and cousins Mihael and Viktor Gerkman; and drinking Miller Lite while grilling and playing cornhole with friends. Vic and his partner of eight years, Jennifer Fogelson, loved taking road trips to explore new and favorite places, going to concerts and relaxing on New England beaches. In addition to his partner, family, and friends, Vic leaves behind his cat soulmate Maxence and his feline brothers Harley and Tom; and the Fogelson family. A celebration of Victors life will be held this summer. If you would like to honor his memory, please consider donating to, or adopting from an animal rescue or planting a garden.

Just as you are, I am saddened to learn of Victor’s sudden passing. Victor and I worked together for 14 or 15 years. Victor managed the local office of his employer and I was his client. That said, our relationship was absolutely collegial. In his soft spoken way, Victor conducted business in the most professional manner and was fiercely loyal to me and my internal team and our mission at MassHealth. He was unfailingly committed to serving the most needy citizens of Massachusetts. I considered Victor as much a part of our program as I did the people who reported to me. He had a wry sense of humor. He was also so polite and differential but always delivered. I never had or heard a complaint about him or from him. Victor was a stand up guy with great integrity. Years ago we learned we both attended Christian Brothers Academy (I, too, grew up in the Albany area), which was a fun bond for us to share. We became friends over that time and developed a deep mutual respect. I offer my condolences to his family and friends. Victor, I will miss you and hold a warm spot in my heart for you. See you on the other side. Godspeed. Paul

To Victor’s family and friends;
Please accept my deepest and saddest condolences. This news is just heartbreaking as I was just recently (12/29) taking a tour down old Logwoods Road - where I first met Victor when we were all scruffy kids, I used to call him FrogMan and it stuck. I haven’t seen Victor in more than 25 years so this news is just heartbreaking as I look at that smile. I’m glad I was able to recall those memories of his shy but dynamite smile, his kind heart and his friendly nature. He was my older brothers friend and I was the goofy “little sister” sister but as teens in the city when he would come over to hang out while waiting for my brother he’d always ask to play with my hamster or the family dog - obviously his love of animals continued. To his beautiful young lady ❤ I’m glad you chose each other and he lived a happy life which I wish had been more. As I was just recently thinking of Victor I remembered as I last saw him. My brothers wedding: I kept making him blush in photos by calling him a stud in every camera shot.
He was a really great ‘big brother’ and his name will always draw a smile. May your memories of Victor be full of smiles and may they sustain you at this sad time.
Farewell my friend, until we meet again ..
God Bless

So sorry to hear about Victor, I can still remember when he was at his uncle Anton and aunt Rhonda's house and he had his head sticking out the top of the new wood stove that Anton had. I'll always remember him as little Vic even though he grew into a fine young man. God's speed buddy
