Long time friend of Bill was George and Pat Slater. I am married to Pam. Just saw that one of Bill's Dr at MGH, Roman Desanctis passed away recently, made me look for Bill! Remember visiting Bill after some bypass surgery and he wanteda a pastrami sandwich from a local deli! Why not he reasoned! Got if for him! Memories live on for Bill!

Dearest Kate, Karl, Diane and Beth,
What a moving tribute to Uncle Will (as we, the Potter family knew him as) yesterday in New Britain. We are so grateful to have had him in our lives for so many years. I know my dad was smiling down. With our heartfelt sympathy and love...

Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill on and off the air for many years. We had many great skiing experiences as well. He was a true original. Hard working and exceptionally talented. I still ski with a jacket he gave me back in the seventies. My condolences to Bill's family and many friends.
