Bobby Sellars

WELLFORD, SC-- Bobby Ray Sellars, 61, of 199 Wild Mustang Lane, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at his home. He was the loving husband of Sue Stowe Sellars for 44 years. He was the son of Myrtle Woody Sellars and the late William Robert "W.R." Sellars of Wellford. He was a licensed electrical contractor and was retired from Michelin Tire Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, Spec 5.
He was the loving father of two daughters, Melissa Gregory and Brigette Champion and her husband Billy all of Spartanburg; the grandfather of one granddaughter, Meaghan Gregory of Spartanburg; and five grandsons, Matthew Gregory, William, Hunter, Ethan and Grant Champion all of Spartanburg. He is survived by a sister, Shirley Sellars of Wellford. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Odell Sellars.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Monty King and Rev. Ronald Smalley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Stribling Funeral Home. The interment will be at the Fort Prince Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers will be, Keith Henerey, Jeff Meadows, Ken Hawkins, Steve Blanton, Mickey Prince and Tom McCraw.
The family would like to thank Duke Medical University, Spartanburg Regional Hospice, his doctors and all those who cared for him.
