Brandon Lanford Obituary
WOODRUFF, SC-- Brandon Allen Lanford, 19, of Woodruff, SC, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. Born April 5, 1991, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Caroline Ogston Roberts and the late Timothy "Tim" Allen Lanford.
Brandon graduated in 2009 from Woodruff High School and attended Spartanburg Community College. He was employed as a loader at UPS and awarded "Employee of the Month" last month. As a young boy, Brandon was very active in community sports and as a young man he was always a trusted friend to everyone that knew him.
In addition to his mother, Brandon is survived by his step-father, James "Jim" Arthur Roberts; a sister, Emily Caroline Lanford; a brother, Matthew Blake Lanford both of the home; an adopted brother, Joshua "Josh" Allen Lanford of NM; step-brother, James A. Roberts, Jr.; two step-sisters, Rene' Suzanne Roberts Teague and Kristy Roberts Snow of FL. He is also survived by his grandparents, George F. and Cheryl A. Ogston and Horace "Bud" Lanford, Jr. and Marcel Miller Lanford as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:30 PM Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 9480 Hwy. 221, Woodruff. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Doug Huntsinger. Burial will be in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, Woodruff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brandon Allen Lanford Memorial Fund, P.O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.

*Brandon, we used to cut up in 2nd period all the time! we were pretty much in school together our whole lives and i miss you sooo much!!! You feel sooo far away now! But distance means soo little when someone means soo much to so many!!! Brandon didn't really know you well only seen you a couple of times with Kerri. But I know you are missed very much by her. Keep looking out for her from up there. She loved you alot and I love her alot.

Wow Sugar Muffin..look at people who didn't even know you being touched by your loss. Im here for your friends and family the most I can be even if I'm not strong myself. We can't question God and his works but I just wished I could be wrapped in your arms again. I love you sooo much nd this is really hard WORD ON EVERYTHING! I didn't know Brandon personally. He was my boyfriend's best friend. I heard so many good stories about him. And I heard what happened. I'm so sorry for your loss. I look at his facebook page every day. Wondering why God would take such a beautiful person who loved and was loved by so very many. But we can't go against God's will. The loss of Brandon has touched so many. Even people who didn't personally know him, like me. I'll be praying for the Lanford family and friends. I know Brandon is greatly loved and missed every day by so very many.

I remember Brandon as a young boy, playing with Emily. The thought of such an amazing person leaving this world entirely too early, is tragic. He touched many peoples lives and will never be forgotten. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Brandon Allen Lanford's death. I didn't know him personally but for an outstanding young gentlemen to leave this world at such a young age is heartbreaking.
Working with his cousin, Julie Lanford, is a pleasure.
