Cecil Stanley Obituary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Cecil Dean Stanley, 81, of 691 California Avenue, died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Leveria Burke Stanley and the son of the late Hubert and Essie Blackwell Stanley. He was an active member of First Baptist North Spartanburg Church where he was a member of the Chariot Chasers Sunday School Class. He was retired from Spartan Mills with 42 years of service.
He is survived by one son, Rev. Don Stanley and his wife Gwen of Chesnee, SC; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Al Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends at 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the graveside.
Memorials may be made to the Mission Programs, FBNS, 8740 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
The family will be at the home of Rev. Don Stanley, 540 Horse Creek Road, Chesnee, SC 29323.
