I worked with him at CACI. Very sad indeed. Edward lived life to the full, and was a brilliant man. Mountain Climber, Musician, and Mathematician.

Wow!! Edward Earl is a total stranger to me. Never met him never heard of him but after reading his obituary I wish I had.
With all the bad things in this world today it's nice to be reminded that there are good people around.
My prayers go out to his family and friends. They were blessed to have a gentle soul in their lives.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Edward's death. He and I grew up together in Spartanburg, SC. We played on the same Hillbrook little league football team, and were in some of the same classes throughout our middle school and high school years. I last saw and visited with Edward at our 30th Spartanburg High School class reunion. While Edward was on a different intellectual plane than me, he did not carry his gift of genius in a haughty or high-handed way, and I admired and appreciated his matter-of-fact and non-condescending way with me and others. As his beautiful obituary alluded to, I always sensed the kindness and gentleness of his soul. Today in church I offered a prayer of thanksgiving for his life, and a prayer of peace and comfort for his family.
