Elder George W. Hill
INMAN, SC-- Elder George W. Hill, 89, of 110 Pearson Street, died Thursday, February 21, 2013. A native of Cherokee County, he was the widower of Fannie Jackson Hill and the son of the late Roscoe and Ibell Kirkindol Hill. He was first married to the late Myrtle Ruth Vernon Hill. He was founder and pastor of Mt. Hope Church and was retired from Mayfair Mill.
Survivors include four sons, Minister Jerry Hill, Pastor Wesley (Bridgett) Hill, Jimmy Hill and Charles (Nancy) Jackson; three daughters, Barbara (Richard) Mills, Georgia Porter, and Mary Ann (Ivan) Thomas; three brothers, Grady (Annie Lee) Hill, Garvin Bay (Katie) Hill, and Hollis (Mary) Hill; four sisters, Callie Foster, Viree Hill, Rachel Dillard; and Margie Dixon; twenty-nine grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Greater St. James Temple Holiness Church with burial in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the home.

To the Hill Family you have or deepest sympathy. We know this is a hard and painful time but just trust in the Lord and he will lead you through. God just will not make a mistake even though we as flesh sometimes just can't accept that. We love you all and will keep you in our prayers.
