James Walling

Boiling Springs - James Trevor Walling, 44, of Boiling Springs, SC, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was the husband of Janna Kinlaw Walling.

Mr. Walling was a native of Anderson, SC and the son of Derrial and Jenifer Graham Walling. He was Vice President of United Community Bank. Trevor was a member of Green Point Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and was Director of the Men's Ministry. He was a graduate of Clemson University and also received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with honors from Colorado State University.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his father-in-law: Darryl Kinlaw and his mother-in-law: Janet Kinlaw; special aunt: Charlotte Graham, aunts: Sherry Arflin and Terri Rucker. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents: James and Velma Walling and maternal grandparents: Hoyt and Varena Graham.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Green Point Baptist Church.

Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Dr. David Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to the Family Life Center, Green Point Baptist Church, 1391 Rainbow Lake Road, Inman, SC 29349.

I just found out about Trevor’s passing today. I am so sorry to hear of this news. He will always be that little kids with dark hair and freckles and a love of soccer. My memories of growing up include playing with him in the woods behind his mom’s home and my parents home in Devonshire. My prayers are with his family in this difficult time.

While I didn't know Trevor personally, I feel like I got to know a lot about him through his wife and my co-worker, Janna. He was clearly a man of the community, a natural leader, a role model, and a loving, caring husband. Losing such a bright light so early is terribly difficult to bear.
