Marcus Kennedy Obituary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Marcus David Kennedy, Sr., 73, died Friday, November 4, 2011, at Regional Hospice Home. He was the husband of Madeline Blanton Kennedy and son of the late Buford Eugene Kennedy and Sarah Elizabeth Burdette Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy was President of Kennedy's Supply, Inc., a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of American Legion Post #172, a former member of the Spartanburg Lions Club, and a licensed private pilot and former member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Marcus David Kennedy, Jr. of Spartanburg; and a brother, Glen Eugene Kennedy of Greenwood.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Bobo Funeral Chapel officiated by Dr. Steve Holler and Rev. Lynn Stewart. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303, Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 626 Norwood St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.
