Michael Pate Obituary
Michael was a Graduate of Chapman High School "Class of 2005", employed with Crown Healthcare Laundry Service as an electrical maintenance technician and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Michael loved Jesus and his family. He also loved fishing, and sports.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth Duncan and Lynn of Inman, SC; two daughters, Presley Pate and Amy Lynn Pate; one brother, Taylor Coy Pate, Lyman, SC; two brother-in-laws, Jared Duncan and Leah of Inman, SC and Adam Duncan of Spartanburg, SC; grandmother-in-law, Martha Campbell of Taylors, SC and two special nieces, Marlee and Emma.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Inman, SC with Dr. Tim Clark and Rev. Brian McCall officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of his parents, 498 Virginia Ave., Lyman, SC 29365.

To all the family, I know it gives no comfort in this horrible tragedy, but Michael was an absolute gentleman and awesome guy. Parents, you raised a MAN, one after God's own heart. He was without a doubt, one of the friendliest people I have ever met. I enjoyed talking to him at Upward Soccer practice, he loved his family to the moon and back. I am sick knowing of your unthinkable loss. Sometimes the plan is very hard to understand, this is one of those times. Let the knowledge that he is in heaven give you comfort, you will see him again!!

Michael was such a kind spirit and truly nice person. His smile was always so big and so genuine. I'll never understand why God takes the good ones but I guess sometimes he needs the angels in heaven more than we need them on earth. Kayla, Patty, Roger, Lynn, Kenny and Jared, I'm sorry for all of you in the loss of Michael. Although we had lost touch through the years, I still remember Michael from the ball field, being a good kid with a positive outlook. My boys tell me Michael grew up with those same values plus more. I know his memories will play on for you and for generations that follow.

I didn't really know him, but I know his parents. When I went to the visitation with my wife and my daughter, I looked around and I didn't see sorrow on the faces of his family and friends, I saw memories in the eyes of those that loved him and joy filled their faces, Michael Pate not only left behind his friends and family,he left behind a legacy that will follow the lives of those he loved and cherished. One of the kindest young men I have ever met. Always smiling. You could just see the love that Michael had for his beautiful wife, two beautiful daughters, his Mom, Dad and brother.
