Michael Vince Obituary
INMAN, SC-- Michael John Vince, 66, of Inman, SC, died Monday, August 22, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born March 24, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Chester and Helen Pojnar Vince.
Mr. Vince loved Pittsburgh Steeler football and enjoyed playing golf as well as traveling. While in Pittsburgh, he was a member of The Polish Falcons of America. He attended Virginia Tech on a football scholarship and received his Master's and Bachelor's Degrees from Clarion University. A longtime employee of Duer-Carolina Coil, he was also the plant supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Vince of the home; daughter, Minde Vince-Thompson (Brandon) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; sons, Robert and Jason; and grandsons, Parks, Logan, William, and Cole.
Visitation will be 6:00-6:45 PM Friday, August 26, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM at the Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
