To the family and friends

My heart goes out to you all. As you grieve take comfort in knowing that God will sustain you through your intense sadness, just as he did King David. As you begin to feel as if you cannot endure one more minute without Sadie, in prayer you can approach the great "Hearer of prayer," trusting that he will give you relief. After all, God promises those who strive to serve him: "I, your God, am grasping your right hand, the One saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I myself will help you.'"—Isaiah 41:13.
