Shirley Carson Obituary
INMAN, SC-- Shirley Walker Carson, 79, of Inman, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Magnolia Manor in Inman, SC. Mrs. Carson was the wife of the late Ervin W. Carson of Norwich, NY and daughter of the late James R. and Maggie Stephens Walker.
Mrs. Carson was a nurse at Spartanburg General Hospital, member of the South Carolina Nursing Association and member of Spartanburg First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children; Donald Earl Carson and his wife Dianne, Rita Carson Addington and her husband Michael, and Cheri Denise Carson; three grandchildren, Michael Austin Addington and his wife Lisa, Whitney T'Sali Carson and his wife Heather, and Krista Addington Jolley and her husband Chris; five great grandchildren, McKenzie, Carson, Mikah, Riley and Raigen; two brothers, James Woodrow Walker of Burlington, NC and Joseph Eugene Walker of Skyland Place; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by an infant son, Ervin Whitney Carson, Jr. and an infant daughter, Michelle Rae Carson.
The family will receive friends 2:00-2:45 p.m. Thursday, January 16th at First Baptist Spartanburg Chapel with a Memorial Service following at 3:00p.m. officiated by Rev. Sal Barrone and Rev. Bill Adams.
