Thomas Linder Obituary
Thomas William Linder, 81, peacefully entered rest on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
Mr. Linder was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Linder. Mr. Linder was the son of the late Reverend J. H. Richardson and Mrs. Freelove Linder-Richardson.
He was a Member of Mt. Zion World Outreach Baptist Church.
Mr. Linder was retired from the U.S. Army; he was also retired from employment at the Spartanburg County Administration Building.
Left to cherish fond memories are: his loving wife, Ruth C. Linder of the home; his son, Clarence 'Bill' Linder and his daughter, Louvenia Linder both of Spartanburg, SC; his god son, James T. Williams of Augusta, GA; his niece, Gennella Cheeks of Spartanburg, SC; three great nephews reared in the home, Robert (Kim) Cheeks of Spartanburg, SC, Marcus (Holland) Cheeks of Mauldin, SC and Tyler Moore Huston of Boiling Springs; other dear relatives and friends.
A Celebration of the Life of Thomas W. Linder will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 at Mt. Zion World Outreach Baptist Church.
Bishop Nathan Robinson will officiate.
Interment with Military Rites will be in Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the home, 143 Collins Avenue.

I work for Spartanburg County in the Admin Building. Thomas and I worked together for many years as he protected us:)We were good buddies to the point I would call him "OLD GOAT" and we both would just laugh and laugh. When my dad was sick he sent a get well card, at Christmas he sent Christmas cards. He would come by my office often when he came to pay his insurance. My heart broke when I heard my dear friend for many years passed away. To Mrs. Linder and all the family, you are in my prayers and know he was a special man and will be greatly missed.
