Later in life she volunteered in classrooms tutoring children as a Foster Grandparent at St. Patrick's School and for Spokane Public Schools. She loved baking and was famous for her banana bread. Her children and her grandchildren were her life. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Amelia will truly be missed she was a very kind person she always would stop me at every chance she could for she would talk to me about her children or grandchildren it did not matter to me how many times she repeated the stories I would listen. I loved how she looked up to them with pride. I am going miss her banana bread and pies. If she knew that I was going to be at home for the holidays she made sure to bring me a plate of dinner along with baked goodies. I will remember all the talk about her family and how proud she was of her family. So Amelia soar with the eagles till we meet again. Love and miss you every day. R. I. P.

To the Patterson Family,
I knew Amelia through the Foster Grandparent program. She always had a smile on her face when she talked about her time with the kids she mentored in the Foster Grandparents program. She just was thrilled to see those kids in the classroom and learn what they were learning and she said more than once- "and I learn also from them" She gave so much back to other with in the community in so many ways. She will be greatly missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

My grandma was a very special lady. She was so caring and loved my children. She always bragged about her grandkids. She is missed very much by myself and my family.

My mom was a very strong woman. She fought Covid until the end and thought she would make it out of the hospital. Her family meant everything to her, especially her many grandkids. She will always be in our hearts.

Although we couldn’t have a funeral, I want to thank all our family and friends for the nice messages about our mom.
