Ann SWEET Obituary

Born June 24, 1939, to William Harry Burrell and Helen Alice Brunelle in Fargo, ND. Ann attended high school at Marycliff High School in Spokane, WA. She married her high school sweetheart, Dave Sweet, on September 10, 1955.

She worked as a general merchandise manager and cashier for Rosauers Food and Drug in Spokane for over 33 years before retiring.

Ann's legacies include her many roles within the family. She was the strength and glue that held the family together, and family was always her first love. She was an amazing artist in painting, crafts, and landscaping.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Sweet; her brother, Bill; sister, Mary; sons, Michael Sweet and Daniel Sweet; and her sister-in-law, Barbara McKee.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Victoria Juhlin and husband, Rick; son, Joe Sweet and wife, Sherri; son, Paul Sweet and wife, Connie; daughter, Sandy Hank and husband, Jim; and daughter, Anna Sweet, along with 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ann was strong, intelligent, and independent, while being equally loving, generous, and fiercely loyal to friends and, especially, family.

She will never be forgotten. Her Memorial Service will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 12 noon in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane, WA. Her online memorial page can be found at www.holycrossofspokane.org.

I only knew her from my walks. Visited with her as she often worked in her yard. Just found out her name today, when I saw some neighbors standing near her home. She was a kind and interesting lady. Enjoyed very much talking with her for almost the last 2 years. She spoke often of her family. My condolences to her family. Peace be with you. Paula Jones
