Anton MULARSKI Obituary
MULARSKI, Anton (Age 76) Anton Mularski achieved his lifelong goal to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Born in Badgrund, Germany, on August 6, 1942, Anton spent the first eight years of his life in Germany until his family immigrated to Spokane, WA. Anton grew up with one older brother, Kasik "Bob", and two younger siblings, a sister, Lodsia "Lucy", and brother Joseph. At an early age, he began working at Playfair Race Course as a groom of racehorses, where he developed a love for horses and the sport of horse racing that would last his lifetime. Anton attended school at Lincoln and Edison Elementary Schools, Libby Junior High, and Lewis and Clark High School. After graduating high school, Anton married his first wife, Arlene Keilen, and became a loving son-in-law to Earl and Mabel Keilen. Anton volunteered for service in the United States Navy at the age of 21 and served in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he became a sheet metal worker by trade. At the age of 33, he married his second wife and love of his life, Kathleen Barnes. This union awarded him a beloved six year old daughter, Nicole Marie "Doobie". Anton and Kathleen later welcomed Jessica Lynn and Joshua Anton to their family. Anton and Kathy spent many years providing their children with the best childhood memories. They traveled, camped, horse showed, jet ski'd and entertained countless friends and family during the winter snow storms of Spokane with their Slippin' parties, where Anton pulled anyone who dared around the neighborhood on a toboggan behind his 1968 Chevy pickup. He had an uncanny ability to make those around him feel good. His sunny disposition, enthusiasm for life, joyfulness, and laughter were contagious. He was fond of calling himself the "Fine Polish Gentleman", announcing how good looking he was, and declaring a "Hacheemaw" of congratulations for even the most minor of triumphs. Anton will be sorely missed and is survived by his siblings: Bob (Judy), Lucy (Bud) Cash, and Joseph (Vickie); his children: Nicole (Chris) Lynch, Jessica (Jason) Prins, and Joshua; his grandchildren: Jaren, Bryden and Tenley Prins. All of whom loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathleen, and both his parents, Joseph and Karolina. A graveside service will be held February 16th, 12:30 pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA. The family wishes to invite all who loved Anton to a "Celebration of Life" February 16th, 4pm at the Rooftop Event Space at the Steam Plant, 159 South Lincoln, Spokane, WA. Dinner will be served following the service.
