Barbara BLACK Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Black was born on June 16, 1937, in Spokane Washington to Ila and James Hackman. She passed away on June 3, 2023. She grew up in the Spokane area spending her summers on the family farm in Wilbur Washington.

She graduated from Riverside High School in 1955. The summer she graduated from high school, she met the love of her life, Ronald Black, and got married on October 15, 1955. They had five children: Connie(deceased), Janet(Roger), Pati, Gene(Sheena), and Nancy(Jerry). They all live in the Spokane area. Ron and Bobbie were happily married for 59 years before his passing in 2014.

Bobbie enjoyed huckleberry picking in Montana, fishing with her family, quilting, baking, canning, and gardening. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family: watching her grandchildren grow up, playing pinochle with kids, grandkids, and friends, Sunday dinners at her daughter's lake house, and traveling with her family to various places including the Oregon Coast, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Montana. She was a member of Foothills Community Church, participating in several groups including bible study, quilting, small group, and Sunday service.

She is survived by four children, 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband Ron, daughter Connie and daughter-in-law Brandi.

She will be missed by all. We love you, mom.
