Betty Zajac Obituary

After a life well-lived, Betty Elizabeth Agnes Zajac, 92, of Fredericktown, Deemston Borough, formerly of Cheektowaga, N.Y., passed away peacefully Monday, March 31, 2025, in her home. Betty was born December 21, 1932, in Lackawanna, N.Y., a daughter of the late Edward N. and Agnes Krzyzanowska Schultz. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1952. Shortly after graduation, October 22, 1955, she married the late Henry L. Zajac, who passed away February 14, 1993. A woman of great faith, she was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Richeyville Campus and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in Buffalo, N.Y. She was loved and respected by all who met her. Many friends of her children referred to her as their second mother. Many called her a best friend. She gave her time and talents to both Boy and Girl Scouts. She also loved horses and all the dogs and cats she had as pets throughout her life. She leaves behind three children, Donna Marie Taylor, Col (Ret) Daniel L. Zajac, and AnnMarie Bauer; seven grandchildren, Daniel A. Rosati, Daniel B. Zajac, Natasha Zajac, Brenton Bauer, Bailey Bauer, Benett Bauer, and Bryson Bauer; two great- grandchildren, Wesley Zajac and Amelia Bauer. Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, is a granddaughter, Dina Rosati. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA 15313. A graveside service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Buffalo, N.Y.
