Brandy KNIGHT Obituary

Brandy Lynn Knight, age 56, a nine-year resident of Colville, WA, passed away on June 6, 2025. Brandy was born on Sept. 5, 1968, in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Arnold and Sue Thompson Phillips.

Brandy was raised in the communities of Tyler, San Antonio and Midland, TX. In 1987, Brandy graduated from Churchill High School in San Antonio, TX. She continued her education at the University of Texas in Austin. Brandy was able to transfer into the San Antonio School of Dentistry after her junior year in college. She completed her education in 1994 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. After dental school she moved to San Diego, CA and married Ryan Richey. Brandy began a family with the birth of her first daughter, Brianna. They moved to Spokane, WA where her family grew with the birth of her second daughter, Brynn. Brandy worked in a couple of local practices before purchasing and operating Dental Care of Spokane. She owned and operated Dental Care of Spokane from 2005 to 2017. Brandy married Steve Knight on October 2, 2018, in Kennewick, WA. She has supported Steve in the operations of their restoration business Servpro of Spokane County, Top Dog Plumbing and Drain and working on the ranch. In 2017, she then traded her dental office and surgical instruments for a tractor, swather, bailer and field work when she moved to Colville.

Brandy was All-In! She was an all-in mom who made sure she was always at her girl's volleyball matches, dance recitals and school functions. She also cooked her family healthy and fresh meals every night and then packed their lunches for the next day. She was an all-in owner and operator of her dental practice, also serving as the President of the Spokane Dental Assoc. and traveling internationally with Hearts in Motion (a charitable dentistry outreach program). She was an all-in adventurer, who loved creating lifelong memories with her husband and limitless love of life with him.

Brandy's beautiful smile exemplified her bubbly, bright, warm and quirky personality. She loved to help others and had an unreal and unending work ethic. She was an avid reader who enjoyed a good read at home, at the Pend Oreille River cabin or while soaking in the sun on one of her many adventures around the world. She enjoyed gatherings, book club, bunko and treasured the countless long walks and immeasurable miles with her dogs and quiet solitude. Brandy loved her family and that included the many dogs and animals that she gave her heart to over the years.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Knight, at the home; daughters, Brianna Richey (Nick Vikari) of Spokane, WA, Brynn Richey (Ben Isley) of Airway Heights, WA; stepchildren, Tyler Knight (Jordan) of Colville, WA, Chandler Knight (Natasha Peay) of Spokane, WA, Bailey Knight (Amy Watanabe) of Kennewick, WA; five grandchildren; siblings, Kirk Phillips (Stacey Phillips) of Tyler, TX, Dee Ann Ivy (Mark) of Tyler, TX; parents, Arnold and Sue Phillips of Tyler, TX; parents-in-law, Pat Richey of Spokane, WA, George and Marlene Knight of Colville, WA; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
