Brenda KENNEDY Obituary
Brenda Kennedy was born November 5, 1942, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Emil Sr. and Molly (Huddleston) Kasten. She traveled the world, first as a dependent, then as an Army wife, also working Civil Service. Brenda was an avid reader, enjoyed paper crafting, and above all else, loved her family.
A special thanks to the Intermountain - St. Vincent staff and Stillwater Hospice.
Brenda is survived by her two daughters, Deanna (Rusty) Matney, Spokane, WA, and Amy (Stephen) Blankenship, Billings, MT; one brother, Emil Kasten Jr., Hermiston, OR; five grandchildren, Brittany Crutchfield, Jonathan Crutchfield, Kyle Blankenship, Brandon Matney, and Nicole Matney; and three great-grandchildren, Willow Matney, Kallahan Blankenship, and Wrenley Laducer.
The family asks that donations be made to WomenHeart, the Alpha Phi Foundation, or PEO in Brenda's memory.
The family will have a celebration of life September 13, 2025, at 5001 W. Shawnee Ave., Spokane, WA, from 1-3 pm.
